Purpose
The purpose of this document is to provide confidence in Ultradent’s compliance with data protection laws, regulations, and best practices. This includes protecting the rights of customers, staff, and partners, the prevention of and protection from data breaches, and transparency regarding the gathering and processing of individuals’ data.
Ultradent’s goal is to ensure that personal data will be obtained for specific purposes, processed fairly and lawfully, and of adequate proportions and relevant. Personal data is appropriately and adequately protected.
Data Protection
Ultradent is committed to appropriately and adequately protecting data required for its varied business operations, research and development, and community support activities. These protections may be governed by legal, regulatory, and/or Ultradent internal policy considerations.
Responsibilities and Applicability of Policies
All individuals and parties associated with Ultradent are responsible for proper handling and protection Ultradent data. This policy applies to the entire Ultradent organization, all branches of Ultradent Products, Inc., all employees, and all volunteers of Ultradent Products, Inc., including contractors and authorized third parties.
The policy applies to all personal data that the company holds and/ or processes.
Data Collection
Data collected is limited to data required for defined business purposes and for compliance with regulatory bodies and local, state, national, and international laws. Examples of data collected include:

- Business name
- Email Address
- IP address
- Physical address
- Phone number
- Credit card information (when a purchase is made)
Data required for Ultradent’s business processes are collected using common methods, including but not limited to:
- Cookies
- Beacons
- Customer purchase forms
- Customer service interactions
- Information requests
Data Uses
Ultradent uses collected data to improve customer and user experience, contact customers and site visitors to discuss their interest in Ultradent’s products and services, analyze trends, and track users’ movements through its sites.
Data Transfers and Sharing
Ultradent is an international organization and has contracts with vendors all over the world. Consequently, personal data may be transferred internationally. Where required Ultradent obtains an adequacy decision as outlined in the General Data Protection Regulation. In the absence of an adequacy decision Ultradent always enacts appropriate and adequate safeguards for personal information data transfers. Ultradent does not share personal data with third parties except where it is necessary to perform business functions as agreed upon between Ultradent and the customer or where required by law. Ultradent does not sell personal data to third parties.
Data Retention
Personal data is retained only long enough to fulfill business purposes and to comply with local, national, and international laws and regulations.
Consent to Data Collection
Consent to data collection is necessary to use Ultradent’s website as well as to enter any business interactions or contracts.
By way of Ultradent’s Privacy Notice and Consent Form customers and users consented to data collection and processing as defined by this policy upon entry to the site. Customers and potential customers may also consent by signing a physical copy of Ultradent’s Privacy Notice and Consent Form and returning it to a representative of Ultradent, or by verbally giving consent during a recorded phone call with an Ultradent representative. Customers and users may contact Ultradent about the use of their data, including requests for copies, data sharing (portability), corrections, erasure, or restriction of processing. Customers and users have the right to lodge a complaint with Ultradent’s supervisory authority

Any exceptions to the information privacy policy must be submitted and approved through the Ultradent Policy Exception Process.
